At HelpHand, safety and trust are the foundation of our community. To ensure the highest quality of service, all Xperts must undergo a rigorous verification process before they can start accepting jobs. ### 1. Identity Verification We partner with Stripe Identity to verify the legal identity of every professional. You will be required to upload a government-issued photo ID (Driver's License, Passport, or National ID) and a real-time selfie. This prevents fraud and ensures that the person arriving at the customer's door is exactly who they say they are. ### 2. Criminal Background Checks Safety is non-negotiable. Every Xpert must pass a comprehensive background check. We look for records of: - Violent crimes - Theft or property damage - Fraud or identity theft - Felony convictions within the last 7 years Applicants with a history of these offenses will not be admitted to the platform. ### 3. Professional Licenses For specialized services such as Plumbing, Electrical, or HVAC, we require proof of an active state or local license. Our team manually verifies these credentials with the respective state boards to ensure compliance with local regulations. ### 4. Verified Reviews Once active, Xperts build their reputation through verified reviews. Only customers who have completed and paid for a job can leave a review, ensuring that feedback is honest and reliable.
